Leadership/management are untrustworthy. If you are an investor, follow the money and ask for hard evidence/proof that back up what you are being told. You will be surprised how much reality differs from what you are being told. If you are a prospective employee, don't be surprised that after a few months your situation will look totally different from what you were told when they were trying to hire you/when you started. They will ask you to take lower compensation at the beginning and promise to increase it over time, but somehow that never ends up happening.
