Ergo is a very evolving business and there are many opportunities to move into different roles and levels within the business so if you are someone that might get bored in the same role or like to jump jobs every couple of years, you would have plenty of interesting opportunities at Ergo.
Very friendly bunch of people and easy to get on with.
Always changing, as with point one, but this is interesting as it can really keep you on your toes. Keeping up with the latest technology is important as is getting involved

The culture heavily rewards those that stick there hand up or speak up. If you are not naturally this way you may find it difficult to push forward in the organisation. Things are changing a little here but it feels like this is a part of the DNA.
Not the most organised across the organisation. This is both good and bad but in the bad part it means that to get anything done internally you need to know who to speak to rather than where to look for a process or support. The good part of this is there can be minimal red tape to getting things done if for instance a new opportunity arose.

Definitely People. Social Life. You will learn a lot and quick if you are fresh in IT. Some nice range of Customers.
Exam Bonuses and the cover of exam costs - non-existing due to COVID.
Good for the start but please don't stay too long on Service Desk - after a year or two is a time to move on.

A small wage for an engineer - you will get 30 % less than anywhere else.
Cliques - have a couple of tight groups, mostly long time employers - they will leave you with worst jobs to do... repetitive ones or for a challenging customer. Keeping nice projects for themselves.
Service Desk is mad... hardest working people with garbage salary. Retention of employers on this team is minimal. Engineers leaving all the time. If your tenure is longer then 1 year you are senior there.
Do not work overtime - they will not pay you... or pay after complaints and long fight- not worth it.
Do not work on 24/7 team - not worth any money, your knowledge and exposure will only decline, you will have NO support and option to move back to normal shift is just not possible.
They will promise you project work... do not believe.
A unique way to negotiate a better salary is by bringing another job offer, please think twice and just run.

Payroll shouldn't be hard for a company with 100 million in revenue.
Pay what you should and what you agreed with the employee in their contracts, also pay what you obligated by law - bank holiday, overtime. Do not force employees to seek help externally with something as simple as a payslip.
If you have financial difficulties due to bad business decisions do not start by putting this burden on employees. Start from the top and cut from finance, other business support units and useless HR but not customer service, software support or system admins. Just double-check who is bringing you clients and supporting existing contracts.
