Utilizing ground-breaking ultra-low-power digital & RF circuit technologies (from U of M & UVA) and innovative communications protocols, Everactive's products can go anywhere, require no batteries, and enable new data streams and insights that unlock real value in traditional Operating Technology environments.</p> <h2 id="Recruiting-RFIntegratedCircuitDesigner-AbouttheRole">About the Role</h2> <p>Everactive is looking for someone to join the Analog IC Design Team who has experience in RFIC design for energy constrained systems and is comfortable making hardware design trade-offs in order to meet those energy constraints. We are looking for an engineer who understands radio design at both the block level and system level, but knowledge in both areas is not explicitly required. Tasks will be varied and will include low power IC block level design (RF PLLs, VCOs, LOs, LNAs, mixers, filters, amps, RSSI, etc.) as well as system level analysis (link budgets, architecture decision-making, noise and linearity planning, AGC loops, etc.). Other tasks could include designing for low power standards like 802.15.4 or BLE. Experience in RF PLL design and an understanding of the interaction between the low-level networking layers is a significant plus.</p> <p>Wireless communication is a key differentiator for Everactive. An ideal candidate is experienced in developing data pipelines and real-time event systems (we use Kafka), working with time series data (we use Postgres and TimescaleDB), and enjoys both optimizing existing data systems and building from the ground up to react to new requirements and improve existing data flows. The Data Platform Engineer will work closely with software developers, data scientists, business analysts to gather requirements, implement solutions and maintain the system.
