Honestly, the people at this company are some of the smartest, creative, talented and hilarious individuals I've ever worked with and/or had the pleasure of knowing. We all have a common goal to grow and this commitment and passion is shared among every single team member.
We work hard and we play hard.

Not a con to me, but depends on your view-- sometimes there isn't a specific strategy for a particular type of situation so you need to think-on-the-fly and come up with one yourself. True to startup nature, things are always changing so if you can't adapt to that quickly, it may not be for you.

The Exact Media team is tight-knit, like-minded and fun-loving. It is, indeed, a community. I didn't feel supported or challenged in my last role and that changed when I joined Exact. I'm grateful for all of the opportunities that this start-up has thrown my way so far! It's nice to be seen and heard, and to not be defined by my role. I especially love that I'm consistently encouraged to explore avenues within the company that both align with my existing skillset and interests!

You have to be prepared for ebbs and flows in workflow. It can get overwhelming at times, but the team is exceptional at banding together to shift priorities when necessary. All you have to do is have the confidence and drive to close what falls onto your plate, but also the confidence and tact to speak up and work with others when you're struggling.

This company has the most disorganized leadership team I have ever seen. Lot's of personal history that affects the day to day business, and it's a family culture in the worst kind of way. You will learn how to protect yourself, how to survive a terrible culture, and how to avoid bad companies in the future. Classic case of what not to do.

Very unstable place. People are constantly leaving, there is a long list of past employees. Passive aggressive people with their own cliques and personal ties, that tries to stab someone in the back rather than openly working things out.

Some talented people, but they are given bad direction by leadership (especially COO)

Where to start? They are consistently dishonest with clients, often promising more than they can deliver and just hoping clients won't find out. This flows over into how they treat employees. They regularly misrepresent the company to people during the interview process, and most people who join the company get a dose of reality a few weeks in. There is a lot of unrealized potential for this company and the individuals, if only they took a more ethical approach. It's a real shame. FYI, many of the positive Glassdoor reviews were written by the founders.

Make no mistake... We GRIND HARD everyday! This environment is not for the faint of heart, passionate people only need apply!
Our environment is better suited for people with an underlying entrepreneurial spirit. Most of us at the company work and hustle as if we were truly running our own business. Due to the nature of our fantastic compensation plan, everyone has a vested interest in the team, and that's why we all strive to continually perform at the highest levels possible. There are no individual victories here... When someone wins, WE ALL WIN!!!
Also, the culture is a welcome breathe of fresh air compared to the uptight corporate structure I've been accustomed to for so long. It's a close-knit group and everyone treats each other like family.
