However, that is ALL GONE! The company is down to one full-time employee (QA Manager) besides the CEO. He fired them due to lack of revenue or they quit due to working conditions. All the positive changes dissolved when the old president left (probably out of frustration). The laid-back company culture is great for those who are brand-new to agency life, and you will very quickly get an opportunity to learn the "lay of the land" in terms of what it takes to keep up with demanding clients almost ALL of the time. This company is honestly one of the worst at fulfilling the promises it makes to its employees I've ever seen. I was underpaid almost a full ten thousand dollars for my skills as a full time employee, and the leadership at EYEMAGINE--regardless of how much they tell you it has changed with the transition of leadership beyond B. Arnold--is probably just as poor and client-facing (rather than employee supporting) as ever. The people that I worked with were very friendly. Every day I looked forward to talking to them during our stand up meetings since they could get loud and evolve into funny stories. I worked as a Web Developer and learned a lot of new things and tricks. My co-workers were very cool and open to show me how to do things I had never done. Every project and client was a different challenge and it could be a minor style update in a webpage to a full new feature that could take months and that always kept things interesting. Yes it is as they say trial by fire and is understandable since it is a medium size company and one had to wear many hats. They were always very respectable of our personal time and very rarely would have to work on a weekend. It was a fun environment and diverse culture. Since it is a medium size company , they lay offs or people moving on affect the company's culture. Eyemagine talks tough upfront but behind the scenes the company is totally unable to deliver. Andy lies non stop to his employees because he fundamentally does not respect or care about them. Employee turn over is extremely high which creates issues to deliver project on time. Some clients have had 3 to 4 different employees work on their accounts before completion. When you interview with the CEO he tells you that the company has been going thru a culture change to improve employee retention. But once you start working there you realize that they have been going thru a culture change for 5 years because no one last long enough . Some of the people were OK. • No products are ever completed on time • All of the semi-big name clients they worked with were from more than 5 years ago (there's a reason they don't have dates on any of their "case studies" • Most of their projects don't even get completed--so many things I worked on were late when I started and still weren't done when I left • If you talk to any of the clients that worked with this company, most will only have negative things to say • Extremely shady HR practices • Pay that is WELL BELOW market average • Extremely hostile raise negotiations • More focus on hour tracking than actual accomplishments • Not even a good first step in a career, would honestly avoid at all costs and try for anything better Ask to see their "Employee of the Month" plaque. Acts like a good guy, but the sketchy never-give-you-a-raise demon is always lurking. About 95% of employees don't last more than 18 months, and 50% don't even last 6 months.
