One of the first companies to initiate work from home and other solutions to make this any easy transition and ensure no employees are affected by this. The leadership team surveys employees a few times to month to ask about cons or weaknesses the company has and based on results, actual actions are put into place to make Faction a better company and place to work. Communication use to be a huge issue, but there has been major strides over the last year. The executive team recognizes the importance of continuing to mature products with policy and procedure, which can sometimes be perceived as a bad thing, i.e. red tape, bureaucracy, etc. As the organization continues to grow there will undoubtedly be naysayers who don't adjust to change and there will be folks who thrive in a culture whey they can shape the future. Resources get stretched a little thin with aggressive goals. The leadership team has been proactive in taking action, allowing all employees to work from home and providing the necessary equipment. They have been transparent in giving frequent company updates. I feel very grateful to work for a company that so clearly values their employees and puts their safety and job security first. I worked with a really great team of Engineers and was able to learn a lot about bleeding-edge technology. I was able to work from home any time that I had personal errands or illness. The challenges of any start up or small company. In my role I helped institute processes and tools, which is always a challenge. Easy to talk to people in the company since it is small. You can have an impact because it is small. Interesting technology that is behind the scenes which greatly interests me. Lots to learn here. The management team hires people to help provide expertise. Then, when those new people have ideas different than the pre-existing ideas of management, those people are forced out. It seems that they only want people that back their already existing ideas of where they want to go or how to do things. If you have any kind of criticism at all, then you aren't viewed as a team player and once again, you are shown the door. Communication is never straight forward. Everything has to be read between the lines and you have to think to yourself "What are they really trying to say here?" It would be a lot better if they were direct and to the point instead of beating around the bush. One of the least supportive environments I've worked at. Horrible leadership, little to no training, lots of cold calling, no collaboration, ineffective marketing, and the list goes on. The environment and morale are horrible for both sales and engineering.
