Company without a vision
|
Worked there a few years ago but the culture was terrible. Being at the bottom of every system is hard but when you’re in IT and expected to do system administration while also putting out fires on a near constant basis for almost no money really sucks. As stepping stone it might be worth it but ultimately the company hemorrhages money in all the wrong areas and all but a few suffer.

Very flexible working environment. You have to fight for competitive wages. Not always the most open-minded company. Takes a lot of work to implement improvements and new ideas.

I'm sad I had to leave the company
|
I really enjoyed working with Faithlife, during my time there I was mostly remote, but never felt like I was not a part of the team. I loved the open communication between team members and how tangible each employee was. I had numerous conversations with the CEO seeking insight and advice, and management always pushed for me to learn more.
I miss working for Faithlife, even with the flaws the company possesses.

It's a great company, but in my position the growth was nonexistent. I would have liked to have moved forward but the position didn't offer that opportunity.

It's ok. Lots of layoffs due to poor planning, financial ineptitude. Liked co workers, but the top brass was out of touch. What kind of company promises relocation assistance, then taxes the amount submitted for approval? That set the tone at the outset.

Great Company, Poor choices in management
|
Some departments are better than others. Some Managers are better than others. You may come across a dishonest, or demanding manager or you may luck out and get a great understanding manager. The company itself is one of the best to work for. However, they need to vet their managers a little better or at least believe the complaints and concerns that are raised by some of the employees.
Faithlife itself is great, the CEO is great and very personable. They are growing quickly, almost can't keep up. There are so many possibilities with this company.

Awesome Company, Great co-workers, benefits are great for those without families, PTO, Might be able to work from home depending on the position.
|
The main office is remote, making it more difficult to build relationships or opportunities for growth.
