Exciting concept, poor managment

Farmers Business Network is a start up company with multiple investors and several levels of management. The concept of the company for the Ag industry is exciting but the management lacks in knowledge of the industry. The goals/quotas change from month to month and they are usually unobtainable to reach. The product and service profile changes drastically from month to month as well leaving customers frustrated and somewhat confused of what the company actually offers. They have an extremely high employee turnover rate and lacked communications with employees.

FBN is a great place to work. Good people trying to help out the Farmers that help feed the world. They've got amazing people in place at all levels of the company.
FBN is still in "start-up" mode so it's definitely stressful. There is a lot going on and many people within the company are still learning exactly what to do. There are still lots of changes taking place but the company is growing at an unbelievable rate.
Make sure you have thick skin walking into this company. Expectations are high and you need to bring your big kid pants.

Great outside sales job. Working with farmers and a lot of flexibility in scheduling. However, when management gets a metric goal in their head they hound the sales team about it. Even when it is unreasonable and there isn't much data to back up creating the goal. Normal commission goals are always stretch but you get paid well when you hit them.
