They are supporting a very old system and have to dedicate a lot of work around to keeping it going. Benefits - PTO isn't a thing, no matter how far in advance you ask for time off you won't be approved, they will ask you to just call in daily and report it against your "reliability score" true story.. Clocking in - they will want you to NOT clock in when loading your computer, or while having tech issues. This is in violation of labor laws, stand your ground. Recruiting/management - massive disconnect, they will promise you one thing during the recruiting process and deliver another. They will say be reliable and we will find a place for you, it's bogus. Schedule - Nights and weekends (both days) Wage - some of the lowest for call centers in our area monitoring/stats- not uncommon for a call center but there is no incentive to do better. You don't get a better schedule or pay increase for good production. Offer your employees incentive for job performance. Get rid of the ridiculous time off rules, give me a break, treat your employees well and they will treat your consumer well. Pay a living wage, you are having us pay the overhead, compensate. Stop the illegal clocking out when work is preformed or we are required to be available. It will catch up to you. Most coworkers were great. Subject Matter Experts were nice and helpful. At least mine was, anyway.. Very strict about meeting call point quotas/ specific questions asked to customers. Same with breaks, time-off is unorganized depending on supervisors. Highest levels of leadership actually care about their employees. They really try to facilitate employee requests and make the working environment a quality one. They don't always hold their leadership accountable to truly poor behavior that can have a major effect on team morale.
