The first complaint people give is that Fiducia is door to door sales. First off, yes, Fiducia is a sales and marketing company - however, it is not door to door. Fiducia USED to be door to door, representing Fortune 500 clients such as AT&T U-verse and and Direct Energy. However, since 2012, Fiducia NO LONGER does door to door sales - they work exclusively with businesses and business owners. Fiducia is not telemarketing or online advertising. They do face to face sales with CEOs, on behalf of Fortune 500 clients, all of which are clearly explained by the president in the first round interview. On the second round interview, candidates are taken out on a job shadow by an account manager to see first hand what it is Fiducia does, and are encouraged to ask all the questions they can. If the candidate does not understand by the end of the job shadow what the position they're interviewing is, or what Fiducia does, they have only themselves to blame. The second complaint is that Fiducia does not pay its employees. This too is false. Training is paid, and the ONLY way that someone will not be paid is if they do absolutely no work. Fiducia is a merit based company, meaning that if you want a job where you can sit on your butt behind the cash register all day, flip through magazines, and do nothing, this is not the job for you. Fiducia paychecks are based on motivation and hard work - you are paid for the work you do, not what you think you should be paid, unlike retail which will pay you a flat rate of $7.00 an hour whether you work three shifts a day or hide in the bathroom. Fiducia does hold the first two checks - this is a requirement of the payroll system they use to process new hires and there is nothing that Fiducia can do about it. The last thing regarding pay is that I hear many complaints that Fiducia does not reimburse for gas used daily, which I find ridiculous. Candidates are told expressly that they will need their own transportation because the position involves driving. Work related expenses, such as gas, food bought on work time, any clothes bought for work, repair done on the car - these are all able to be written off in taxes at the end of the year, provided you keep and submit your receipts. Would Meijer reimburse you the gas needed to drive to and from work every day? Would JC Penny in Oakland Mall reimburse you if you had to drive to their sister store in Twelve Oaks for something? No. You are expected to go to those jobs every day on your own dime, so when your position involves driving, you are expected to budget for that. It's called being an adult. The final complaint that I hear a lot is that Fiducia is a scam. Fiducia is a legitimate, accredited sales and marketing firm,, which not every sales and marketing company can boast of. Fiducia's client, Direct Energy, is also accredited, has been around for over 20 years, and is listed on the Consumers website as one of the 30-some alternative gas suppliers licensed to work with them, meaning that Consumers already buys gas from Direct Energy. Saying that Direct Energy is a scam means that Consumers Energy and DTE Energy are also scams, because what reputable business works with an obvious scam? Fiducia is also not a pyramid scheme - for that to happen, that means that the CEO and all of the employees are getting paid based on what every other employee and new hire is doing. That is not the case. The CEO makes her money the way every other CEO in every other company does - by how much money her company makes every week. If the week is bad, her paycheck is bad. If they week is good, her paycheck is good. The employees make their money based on their own motivation and merit, not off of other employees. Fiducia is part of a management training program, which praises and rewards hard work. Yes the end goal is to get to management like the CEO, and this is completely attainable - if you actually work. If you do not hit office standards, if you just sit in your car all day on Facebook, you will not make any money, you will not build a team, you will not be promoted to management. Just like at any other job. Why should Fiducia, or anyone for that matter, reward laziness? I hope this reviews clears up some of the misconceptions. Many of the negative reviews were written by disgruntled employees who were fired for reasons such as fraud or theft, who are taking their anger at themselves out on the company. Fiducia is a great place to work and I intend to return once my family situation has become less extreme. The CEO was real friendly, but you will be friendly if you are trying to scam people. They say they have permits but they don't. My first day the police came, and my trainer lied and said we had permits. My previous trainer had told me already that we didn't. I continuously asked about what I would be selling. They wouldn't tell me. They wanted you to give a pitch without knowing what it was. Any company that bends the rules to make money is a bad company. If you work for them you were going to be a liar as well. It's not worth it. Management was nice. Friendly people. Possibility to be a manager seemed to be nice. I went in for a interview and still didnt know what my job was. I had to ask a few times what it was (without all of the large words) that I would be doing and again, he talked over me.
