Good People - Constant Pivoting

Worked on a really great team of people. Pre-Covid was flexible with work-life balance.

Any ideas to evolve the brand or company were stifled by leadership at the time. Constant pivoting and sometimes felt like the direction was iffy. Was a part of a company-wide layoff that has happened a few times since then.

Really great people. Field Agent really hires well, and built a great team of people that do really good work. When things are good and people are happy, it really doesn't feel like work.

Leadership has thrown out any opportunity for reasonable, responsible growth, and recklessly pursued ideas that might (but haven't) 10x the company. Anybody who disagrees, or speaks up about reasons why the C-Level ideas aren't working find themselves on the list of people effected by the next round of layoffs.

Great bosses, little to no direction, dismal pay for engineers.

Culture is strong when they are not doing 10%-45% layoffs. Flexible work is great!

There is not a real business direction. Pivot way too often which leads to poorly engineered software and hence, bad user experiences. Engineering team is fractured in terms of responsibilities and communication.
