We work at the intersection of health, engineering and the arts. We develop learning and assistive technology devices to help people of all ages and abilities communicate, learn, play, and grow to their fullest potential.
Our first product, Cosmo, embodies the next generation of accessibility input devices: connected, modular and highly customisable. Cosmo is an award-winning and evidence-based versatile system for therapy and learning designed by teachers and therapists for fellow professionals.
Cosmo is a set of tactile controllers that use dynamic sensors, light up, and adjust their colours. They connect wirelessly with the Cosmo Training app, which contains interactive games and musical exercises to support engagement, sensory integration, expression and socialisation.
We designed Cosmo with the help of over 70 therapy and education professionals, Birmingham and Goldsmith's Universities, the Athens Centre for Cerebral Palsy and the National Rehabilitation Centre of Greece. We have created Cosmo because we realised that technology and interaction design could help students of all abilities learn, express themselves and interact with others. Cosmo, the first connected system, is designed to help children train their academic, communication and motor skills through play and storytelling.
We realise that people with Additional Learning Needs have unique needs and abilities. That is why we worked hard to make Cosmo highly customisable and versatile by hosting numerous activities and using Machine Learning to continuously adapt to the user's comfort zone.
