private:financialtechnologypartnersftpartnersfintechpartners https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=221360 Dec 28th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Financial Technology Partners People Operations San Francisco, CA Lack of Humanistic Leadership - hardworking team - lunch sometimes catered - full kitchen At first I was really excited to work for this company, but it quickly changed when I noticed a huge lack of diversity amongst my team and the way that the People Ops leadership speaks to employees is wildly disrespectful and condescending. I was one of the few that got cut at the beginning of the pandemic and to be honest, it wasn’t surprising, I was already interviewing for other roles. It was the type of action I expected from a team that lacked humanistic leadership. The team members that did help me were great, but I was hoping for more diversity and inclusion tactics in their recruiting. Everything on that team is very manual so be prepared to type in every single bit of data in excel and print out every single employee review. Analysts and Associates work very hard and they work super long hours, which causes them to barely have time for interviews and that can be very stressful for the people ops team I tried to erase my end date on LinkedIn so that I can pop up on recruiter searches easier and FT Partners filed a claim with LinkedIn for me to put an end date. I understand that I no longer work at the company, but as someone who is trying to find their next role, especially during a pandemic, I think that it was very hurtful that FT Partners would do that to one young employee who they let go during a pandemic. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 221360 Open takes some diversity and inclusion training, de escalation training, and learn more about humanistic leadership 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 1.0 Feb 8th, 2021 07:16PM Feb 8th, 2021 07:16PM Financial Technology Partners / FT Partners / FinTech Partners Banks

Miserable treatment by superiors who have no respect for your personal time. Little opportunity to really develop the soft skills needed. Cold, detached office space. History of making fake reviews to bolster the sweatshop environment. A lot of admin work, more so than other firms. Will rarely hear a word of appreciation from senior management. Analysts in my class left before the two year typical period. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 5.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 221360 Open Money does not automatically make your employees better. private:financialtechnologypartnersftpartnersfintechpartners https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=221360 Dec 10th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open Financial Technology Partners Investment Banking Analyst New York, NY Great Learning Experience and Career Opportunity - Responsibility: From day one, you are placed with a great deal of responsibility, more so than most first year analysts at other banks - Deal flow: Deals are always coming in, and you never have to worry about getting staffed on just pitches - Exposure to senior bankers: Coming in, I did not expect to work as closely with senior bankers as I have. Most of these guys come from pretty large banks with tons of experience. As an analyst, it's a unique opportunity to work with them every single day. - Modeling skills: At FT, you learn how to model early on, and are expected to understand the model inside and out on your respective deal. Models are also always built from scratch. You aren't just building powerpoint decks as a first year, you are learning the necessary analytical skills to help you strive in your career. - Culture: The majority of FT bankers genuinely want to see everyone succeed, and try to help out the junior staff as much as possible. - Improving work life balance: Over the past 6 months or so, management has made a concentrated effort to improve the balance of analysts. By hiring more people, the workload and hours expected of an analyst has significantly gone down. - Time zone differences: As an analyst in the US, there is a possibility you are staffed on cross border deals. While this is really exciting to work on deals across the world, this means that sometimes you will have meetings early in the morning to accommodate the different time zones. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 2.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 221360 Open Keep doing what you're doing 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 1.0 Feb 8th, 2021 07:16PM Feb 8th, 2021 07:16PM Financial Technology Partners / FT Partners / FinTech Partners Banks
private:financialtechnologypartnersftpartnersfintechpartners https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=221360 Dec 10th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open Financial Technology Partners Analyst United States USA Intellectually challenging, extremely rewarding, and great place to work! Consistent deal flow and an opportunity to work with companies & executives from around the world. Deal teams are lean and everyone in the firm is busy so as an analyst you will be given a lot of responsibility... with more to come as you continue to prove yourself. Great internal collaboration across our various teams which help keep everyone at the firm in the know with latest trends, transactions, and client / investor activity. The amazing people and corporate culture allow for a more fulfilling and enjoyable experience. Non-critical work during weekends could be improved. limited corporate infrastructure creates some inefficiencies in day-to-day work. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 2.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 221360 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Feb 8th, 2021 07:16PM Feb 8th, 2021 07:16PM Financial Technology Partners / FT Partners / FinTech Partners Banks

Junior employees are trusted and in charge of a lot of responsibilities early on. Life balance got better the last six months. The culture is also a big plus and very collaborative. A lot of things have been fixed on the cons side. Maybe one minor thing would be to increase the dinner budget after midnight. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 2.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 221360 Open Keep pushing! 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Feb 8th, 2021 07:16PM Feb 8th, 2021 07:16PM Financial Technology Partners / FT Partners / FinTech Partners Banks
private:financialtechnologypartnersftpartnersfintechpartners https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=221360 Dec 9th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open Financial Technology Partners Analyst New York, NY Amazing Learning Experiece - Deal flow: Never bored here. No waiting around all day only to end up pulling an all nighter because someone threw something your desk at 5pm, which is a problem at a lot of other banks. I always have multiple things I can do (or need to do urgently) - Client exposure: have had the CEOs / CTOs / CFOs of multiple companies email me questions or requests and been on calls with entire management teams as the only representative from FT as an analyst. - Responsibility: You get so much responsibility as an analyst which means you learn so much faster. Deal teams can be lean which requires the analysts to step up and take over a lot of work that isn't necessarily "analyst work" - Culture / Tight knit community: People are amazing and everyone genuinely likes each other -- people choose to hang out outside of work (even after spending long work weeks together in the office!) - Cheap expense policy: my uber home isn't always covered by the caps which is a bummer 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 2.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 221360 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 1.0 Feb 8th, 2021 07:16PM Feb 8th, 2021 07:16PM Financial Technology Partners / FT Partners / FinTech Partners Banks
