The manager here is impossible to work with. A task will be assigned one day where the deadline is same time next day and then overnight the manager will change his mind and all of a sudden everything you just spent your whole day and even into the wee hours of the night working on is wrong and needs to be fixed. Rinse repeat. Manager has no faith in his employee's abilities to get the job done right and spends most of his time micromanaging to the degree that no one can get anything done. There's also a crazy amount of turnover here. Promises are made to clients that are unrealistic and cause a great deal of friction between the manager and his employees and clients. This company is a pressure cooker and has many more problems than I can come up with in one sitting. I would strongly advise anyone considering working at this company to keep moving and find something else.

All of the bad reviews align 100% with my experience. I don't doubt any of them. In fact, I think many people held back some comments or deleted reviews because they were threatened. I was threatened myself already so I won't say anything more, it's already there. Stuff has happened at this place that has negatively and severely impacted lives of many very good people who worked there.

There seriously was not any pros except for a couple of other employees.
|
- Owner has no people skills and unrealistic expectations from staff. He will ask for one thing to be done, change his mind overnight, then question why you didn't read his mind and do the opposite the next day. He is very disliked by all the staff... only the offshore people don't despise him (because they don't have to deal with him).
- Sales gives unrealistic promises to clients, resulting in friction when they client signs on. Clients have left because of unmet expectations from sales to implementation.
- Software itself is SUPER buggy.
- There is SO MUCH TURNOVER. There have been a couple of "max exoduses" where half the company just quit. Most people won't even give a 2 weeks notice because they can't stand being there anymore.
- Staff morale is LOW LOW LOW. The poor souls that stick around because they need a paycheck look and feel dead.
- They will go under soon. They keep losing clients. There is 0 growth in the company.

Since I was threatened to take my last review down I will keep this brief. Stay very far away from this company if you value your career or business. Denver has an amazing job market and this is a company you should not consider. I do not approve of Sales or the CEO. Many upset clients leading to organizational strain. If you are considering, there are significantly better options out in the market. Do your self a favor and avoid this company at all costs.

It is a good place to work and grow. The project is big enough, the tasks you are receiving can be wide and difficult, but I like this. The team and management are perfect, you always get answers and all neede help. There isn't any extra pressure, the planning is clear and reasonable. Code review is a good practice in FinFolio - it's a must-have thing here as a project is huge and it's really helpful for newcomers.

3. Set up a trello board instead of a wall of sticky notes.
4. Turn the light on and stop trying to be a cool developer hole.
