They truly care about their employees and ensure that every single team member is heard and isn't caught in the monotony of the 9-5 work-life. I learned something new every day at FT and left the firm not only a better PR/marketing professional, but an overall better human being. It's a mini-family inside the firm, and as long as you're willing to work hard, you'll be taking leaps in your career while laughing at jokes and getting silly with the work happy hours week in and week out. Not only are you able to ask questions without any hesitations, but different members of the FischTank team will approach you and make sure they teach you important PR/Marketing skills you may not have learned yet. Would I fit into a startup? What would day-to-day be like? How would I handle it? These questions and anxieties flew out the window when I first walked into Fischtank. I never met such welcoming people in any work experience. Everyone was so open and inviting that I felt right at home even as an intern. If you're looking for the definition of role model and leader, then look no further than Eric and Matt. Two of some of the greatest people I've come across. They made me feel acclimated and helped me find my strengths and expand upon them. Not only did it help me succeed, but it also helped me help them in working at Fischtank! They made everyone feel like a team and put the whole instead of one. These leadership qualities translated directly to the product and the care they brought to each client. If you're looking for a nurturing, fulfilling environment with great people, then look no further than Fischtank! Particularly as someone starting out in my career, I was given significant leadership opportunities and the ability to own accounts I worked on which is not always the case at similar firms. Both Eric and Matt are supportive and thoughtful leaders that look to promote your development as a professional. If you're looking for the opportunity to jump in and get involved with a number of clients across a variety of industries, FT would be a good fit for you. They can encourage internal competition that makes it difficult to work collaboratively. Working in agencies for most of my career, I learned that collaboration and support will always lead to success one way or the other. When I was at Fischtank, it was the times I received that support that I valued. FischTank is a young agency with a small team, but when you see the roster of clients and successful media campaigns, it doesn't seem like it. As a former Account Director at FischTank, I had an opportunity to grow in a positive way that enhanced my skills, network and made me a better PR pro. Something that I was looking for, which wasn't there when I worked at FischTank, was training/ workshops. He will always hear you out and offer constructive feedback. He has created a great company culture-- everyone is friendly, supportive and always willing to help each other out. The company is expanding quickly so it's an exciting time to be there, and the current clients spread across an array of industries so there's an opportunity to work on a little bit of everything. It's a very hands on work environment, and you will never feel limited in your responsibilities, there is a lot of opportunity to grow and expand your skill set. The company is still relatively small, which results in minimal internal structure.
