Oppressive company and management. Corporate management will continuously pile more and more work onto your plate over time without ever giving additional compensation or raises. Pay cuts. Poor communication. Neglectful and passive aggressive corporate management. Expect everything to change daily and never know what you’re waking into when you clock in each day. 10/10 would NOT recommend.

Great floor staff that establish the feeling of working as a "team", whereas upper management will burn out, disrespect, and lie to their employees. You will be told you can work your way up to the top: YOU WILL NOT. Shift leads are paid the same $10 bayhosts are paid. You will be expected to learn and know more than what you are trained for, while only being paid the bare minimum.

Place has potential, but tipping system is disorganized
|
The place is fun to work at as a bartender. However, the tipping system put in place is not fully descriptive. There’s no daily breakdown of the tips you make per day. So it almost becomes a guessing game on how much you’re supposed to make, to where you feel like you’re missing money. For a place that has majority tipped employees, I would think you’d have a system setup to accommodate that.

Hit or miss days
|
It’s a place to play golf where they serve food and drinks but not a restaurant really. More finger foods . If you’re experienced, this isn’t the place for you . The tips pretty much pay everyone including kitchen , head chef , line cook … which is unheard of . They care more about saving money than paying their staff. What you can make in a week with less days , you’ll make less than that here , they pay bi- weekly. The checks are never right and money is always missing and yet they expect too much for less.

There are some high moments and low moments. This company is just emerging from being a start up and has the potential to be great. However, you never truly have the opportunity to be authentically yourself and be ambitious. There are a few good people there and a ton of really bad people. The culture is cliquish. If you aren’t a “do boy” “yes man” or live/work in NYC you will not be successful. Be wary of this company and utilize it as a stepping stone. There is no vision, direction, or guidance under current corporate leadership.
