- Smaller company with less political BS than my previous jobs. You can actually get stuff done and have a voice. Management is generally pretty flexible.
- Lots of opportunities for learning new things.

Everything is going downhill fast

-Free snacks and soft drinks
-Good views from Houston office
-Ops department is extremely helpful and goes out of their way to find solutions and be helpful

-There’s no long term road map or strategy and most of the projects I’ve worked on end up getting tossed out the door because the CEO dreams up something else he wants us to work on at the last minute.
-Crappy benefits. Health insurance is really expensive if you have a family and not very good coverage. HR isn’t very helpful at all.
-No investment in personal development or career growth
-Not everybody has to have a annual review and the process is not fair. Only new people and junior people review each other. CEO doesn’t follow same feedback process for people who report to him.
-There are constantly new people being hired and growth is happening too fast. In my department productivity is decreasing not increasing as new people are added because we are constantly spending time training new peeps.
-Some of the leaders are very mean and take pleasure in belittling you in meetings.
-The culture is very cliquey

Alright company but doesn't always feel like the right fit

- Medical and dental insurance are 100% covered for employee only.
- Fitness reimbursement.
- Flexible hours and the ability to work remote if needed.
- Healthy snacks and beverage available. Can order lunch on the company website and it'll be delivered. Very convenient when you forget to bring a lunch or wanna try something different.
- CEO is very personable and seems to be committed to the growth of the company.
- As with most smaller start up companies, there isn't much structure for future career plans and growth. You have to be a self starter and know what you want. If you ask for more training or something, you're likely to get it. This can be a pro if you have an idea of what you want out of your career progression.

- PTO must be used for sick days. This can be stressful when you need a mental health break but don't want to take a vacation day for it. I wish they would change this.
- The culture sometimes doesn't feel very inclusive. Especially if you don't work much with other teams or if aviation isn't of major interest to you.
- This is a software company at its core but if you don't work as a developer or something adjacent, it can feel like there isn't much future potential for you here.
- As with most smaller start up companies, there isn't much structure for future career plans and growth. You have to be a self starter and know what you want. If you ask for more training or something, you're likely to get it. This can be a con if you aren't prepared.
