Flockjay is a great community that makes everyone feel safe and welcome. There is great support for the tech fellows in terms of work and culture, its new Identity Groups highlight this. The head of learning is a great professional and that translates to the sales instructors and teaching staff. The content covered in the program is very relevant in today's tech landscape and the learning process throughout the program is intense but very enriching and fulfilling. Personally, I think this has been the most rewarding educational experience in my life and I have other certifications and a Bachelor's Degree in Finance. After completing the program, Flockjay has a marvellous career services team and department that teach tech fellow how to interview and connect them with hiring partners. Most importantly, Flockjay will give you positive results, and I am living proof of that as I am currently employed in a wonderful tech company.

Excellent education experience that prepares you for the tech sales field

Flockjay is a great program to set you up in the tech sales industry. You get the run-through of how to conduct calls, emails, sales cadences, and more, over the course of 10 weeks, with interview and job searching support afterward.
One of my favorite aspects was the fireside chat every Monday, in which a professional in the industry would talk about their background, how they got where they are today, and tips and tricks on how to build yourself up.
It can be a challenge overcoming some of the fears you have regarding calls, interviews, and emails, but with the help of understanding peers and coaches, you build up your confidence and skill over dozens of reps.

The ten-week program is a time commitment but totally worth the time and effort put in. Pros
- An engaging program that teaches you technical and non-technical sales skills (e.i. prospecting, generating leads, creating emails, using salesforce/SalesLoft, advance researching, performing discovery calls, etc)
- Our instructors were really insightful and helpful in assisting us on and off class
- You get to hear from different speakers at different tech companies regarding their experience and time as a tech sales representative - a great way to connect and expand your network
- They help you with resume building and interview prep
- So happy to have joined this program and have met 50+ amazing people through it
*side note: I also applied to SV Academy which is another tech sales program and got to the 3rd round of interview but they were too selective since it's free and didn't feel that welcoming.
Cons
- It is a program of "study now pay later" and they also give you an option to pay upfront of $5k. It might be a con to some people but if you really think about your trajectory in this industry, you can easily pay that within a year.
- The class is from 8-11 pm EST but only Monday to Thursday. This was actually doable but of course, depends on each person.
- After graduation can be a little underwhelming especially at this time of Covid19. We're waiting to get matched with some of their partners. Some people had already gotten offers in a matter of 10 days, some are still looking. But of course, we also got to put in the effort and reach out because that's what salespeople do. I do appreciate their constant reassurance and also the support they give us when we apply to jobs even outside of their hiring partners.
