Because the compensation is so low I fail to see how I can have any respect for anyone in the company. Management is a joke, might as well ask me to do this work unpaid because $800 a month isn't enough to support anyone including myself. People like these are dragging down the economy. Companies like this should be called out and dealt with.

I get to use the skills I learned in college.

Great working environment. Headquarters in Austin, TX, were dog friendly, so that was a plus for me.

I was able to work from home in Minnesota, however, they had me travel around the country in order to get content for the media platform which I enjoyed. It was a great work environment and everyone was helpful. My boss really wanted me to learn a lot during my time there so that helped me a lot. They are a company who truly care about the well-being of their employees.

Good place to work if you are a man and into sports.

FloSports has the vibe of a startup in that the senior leadership team is chaotic and insecure. There is the facade of a relaxed culture but depending on who your manager is the work environment can be stressful and unpredictable. The company is trying to practice inclusivity and non discrimination but they have a long way to go to topple the bro culture that runs deep in the organization. Bombastic men advance well in this organization, others have to be twice as good to keep their heads above water. Professionalism and experience are not valued.

Nice people lots of fun low budget though. They will give you a lot of work but it will be at lower pay and no travel expenses covered. They did really good on Craft services and try to get you the best lunch possible 😀 I really do like these people a lot.

Unprofessional Paycheck Processing

After working as an independent contractor for FloSports, I was appalled at their lack of professionalism. First off, each day I was told to stay when for 8 hours of the time I was on site I had literally no reason to be there and nothing to do. The job description was never disclosed to me before working for them and a full week after the job was done, I was informed that I would need to wait for accounting to give me a Concur login to send in my invoice for approval. Once I was finally informed of this, I immediately sent in all the required information and waiting the week (or less) I was promised accounting would need to send me my login info so I could finish my direct deposit set up.
However, accounting took almost an entire month to even get back to me with a login and only did so after I had to threaten to involve legal counsel in the matter. Prior to this I had sent many follow up emails to accounting as to why I had not received my login information. Once I did receive it, I basically had to do their job for them and fill in information they already had on file for me.
My time and intelligence are completely insulted by this company and I refuse to associate or work with them in the future.
