Management was relaxed on dress code, employees worked well together, free tea and Starbucks coffee. Facebook and twitter at work. Exposure to some new technologies and e-commerce/internet concepts. That was it. The company was "sold" to its employees as a new, fresh, exciting and honest company by managers in the interviews, the sad truth is that it was nothing like that. All employees where contracted to 40 hours per week but management would expect nothing less than 45 - 50+ hours per week without any extra compensation in time off or money. Management intentionally split up groups of employees who worked well together, they considered employees having fun working together as counter productive??? The company had scathing monthly appraisals on every employee which made a major dent in moral, achievements were hardly ever praised. The mood in the company changed with the mysterious and sudden departure of one of its directors, senior management seemed more stressed which was channelled down to employees. From a personal perspective the company failed to deliver what they had promised in the interview, this was a sentiment shared by all other employees I spoke to. At the time of my departure from the company several other employees had handed in their resignation, effectively about half the company had resigned in the space of a month. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 2.0 2.0 0.0 1.0 2.0 2.0 322524 Open Management should treat employees with respect and not as assets! They should encourage creativity and allow their employees to have fun at work, they will find this builds moral and will encourage loyalty from employees. 0.0 [] No No 0.0 Feb 13th, 2021 11:21PM Feb 13th, 2021 11:21PM Flutteroo
