Zipline is looking for a technical release manager to own our software release process and uphold a standard of excellence in software testing and validation. As a technical release manager, you will work closely with software engineers to review test plans and help drive release process improvements. You will also work hand-in-hand with our operations teams to ensure the smooth roll-out of new functionality. We have a strong culture of software engineers rigorously testing their own code, and as release manager you can help us raise the quality bar even higher as our engineering and operations teams continue to scale.
Responsibilities
You will own and improve the release process that governs the deployment of software updates to production facilities across the world. You will help to devise structured testing plans to safely release multiple, interdependent software products. You will identify opportunities for cross-functional testing that might be overlooked by individual teams. You will schedule releases and communicate status to external stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES
We will count on you to own Zipline's workplace and HR admin related activities, allowing our team to do the best work of their lives. This includes event planning, new hire onboarding, data systems management, and more. You will be the strategic point-person for all workplace and HR admin related activities. Additionally, Zipline designs, builds, and operates all our systems in-house, on-premises, so you will be working in a manufacturing and office environment where safety is a top priority. To be successful in this role, you will have to be proactive and creative. You will constantly be thinking about ways to improve the overall experience of being at Zipline, and understand how to balance resources accordingly. You will report into our People team, but will regularly partner with leadership across the organization on workplace initiatives, international onboarding strategy and HR/compliance administration.

Responsibilities
This role works very closely with the Business Development team to support our expansion efforts throughout the world. As a GIS Developer, you will:
Analyze pre-commercial opportunities. Inform Zipline’s and our potential customers’ understanding of a potential deployment in a given geography using GIS layers and other geographic data sets, including but not limited to attributes such as population, health system infrastructure, other utilities infrastructure, airspace, and health outcomes.
Placement of Distribution Centers. Identify optimal places for a new center given a set of various internal and external parties’ key needs and constraints.
GIS Data Processing. Own transforming data layers used for early stage analysis into the required inputs for both New Deployments and Site Bringup processes.
Visual Representations. Create compelling maps and other visuals of Zipline’s potential deployments that convey clear information to external and internal audiences as needed.
Data source of truth. Maintain, curate, and source the data that Zipline uses for making business critical decisions.
Build Geospatial Tools. Surface data into useful web based tools and formats to speed up the analysis of teams at Zipline.
Maintain Geospatial Platform. Help tie together all geospatial data at Zipline into one integrated system.
