Shady backroom dealing management, an ol' boys club, favorites-picking abomination of a workplace! Nepotism runs deep and you have to be a part of the "in club" to have any type of a decent experience at Freshly. If you have any ideas, suggestions or experiences to share to make the company more successful, you would do well to keep them to yourself so as to not bruise anyone's delicate egos! Your same ideas or suggestions will come rolling around about 3-4 months later, only this time, they'll claim them as their own ideas! Textbook definition of gaslighting in the workplace on more than just a few occasions. The leadership team cannot keep to their own level of work and are CONSTANTLY getting too far into work and levels of work that they should hand off to their team to handle... micromanagement is pervasive and EXPECTED as a part of the culture all the way from the CEO down to the local level leaders! It is truly maddening to be hired to just be TOLD what to do and how to do it vs being hired for the skills and experience you bring and being empowered to do the job you were hired for! And god forbid you should mention experiences from previous employers as you will swiftly be kicked in the gut and told "we're Freshly... we do things our own way"... even if that way is detrimental to the company and completely antiquated. There is an attitude of clinging to the ways of the past instead of looking for news ways of continually improving and optimizing things!! WORST experience of my professional career! Job isnt worth it, family life, aork, life ,balance is non existant.
