Friendemic 2014-2020 Growth
My professional career was launched at Friendemic. I credit the atmosphere of self-motivation as a large part of my skills today. Friendemic was no walk in the park. There were days tough decisions had to be made and I saw the company transition through a tumultuous merger, a high turnover rate, and a services to software shift. These transitions would have knocked a less resiliant company out, but Friendemic made it work. They rely on their employees to innovate, adapt, and grow as the company changes. This meant that at times, no KPIs were stated and it was every employee striving to do what they thought was best. The latest focus on reputation and software will ensure the company far outlives outdated agency models. I was proud to work for a company that allowed me to change course and find what I was passionate about within new frameworks they created each year.
A year ago, I'd state the biggest issue was cross-team communication. That's improved a lot, but I'd advise not allowing the tech/development team to continue to be so silo'd. Create KPIs and hold developers to them. They're not untouchable but they act as though they're beholden to no one.

Keep innovating on the software side and the sales will come. Don't revert back to manual services/an agency model just because it looks flashy on a sales deck. Believe in your software team to build something great because they CAN! The talent is there, leadership was just painfully lacking.

Horrible company
Work from home. And that is the only pro.
The company is an absolute disaster in every single way. Management is non existent. Pay is a joke, you can make more money at a burger joint. No benefits at all. Nobody knows what they are doing, literally nobody.

Powering Ahead Successfully in Challenging Times
This is a company that has successfully transitioned to a work at home workforce, and we all seem to have kept our productivity and spirits high. The newly formed Culture Committee has helped us bond and work well together despite not being able to meet in person.
Our products continue to evolve, and our client success team just gets better and better. You can tell that our customers appreciate us, also, as they have stayed loyal throughout the year.
Like all software companies, we are continuously evolving and have had some former employees move on, which is sad and necessitates we bring in new talent to move us forward.

A Far Below Par Company
There are no pros to provide
The absolute worst management I have ever seen. They choose to promote those who have terrible attitudes and work ethics while letting go of the absolute best. If you are a dedicated employee that has morals, you will want to look elsewhere. Instead of being upfront and honest with the company, they lied telling them that everything was great and then took away their 401k contributions and diminished healthcare benefits. Also, instead of being considerate and compassionate during letting people go through COVID, they made everyone they were firing (HALF of the company) go on a zoom meeting at one time, TURN OFF their cameras, and did not provide any help after letting us go. Not only do they not have any morals, but they also expect you to work extremely hard for little pay. They say that they are paying fairly based on the comparables, however, they are actually looking for cheap labor and it absolutely shows based on the environment and the terrible products they provide. Instead of finding solutions, they provide bandaids that help cover the issues for a short amount of time.

Obviously the global pandemic changed conditions very rapidly for nearly every person and company in the world; we've all had to make difficult adjustments. I also want to clarify that while the company did reduce our 401k *matching* policy (which disproportionately benefitted the higher-paid employees), we most certainly did not take away anyone's 401k contributions!\n\nUnderstandably, we disagree with the opinions you shared, as does the feedback we consistently hear in most of our online reviews and from our internal, anonymous employee satisfaction surveys. CEO is a liar and founder is checked out
There are a few good people there
The CEO is lost, lies repeatedly and thinks he is smarter than everyone in the room. He loves to flaunt his Harvard business degree but continues to make poor decisions. The founder seems like he could have been a great guy to work for 3 years ago, but now he appears to be checked out and disengaged. The development team is almost all subpar because they want to hire senior level developers for no money. The sales team is all but nonexistent. They are asking way too much from one guy. How can you grow the company with just one real sales guy? The customer success or support team has one or two good people but they are mostly just difficult to work with. They are very cliquey and no one wants to work with them.

Playing favorites with staff and management is a recipe for disaster. The CEO needs to go and the founder needs to get back in the mix and save his company before the CEO finishes driving it into the ground.

Amazing company
This company is, by far, the most employee-oriented for which I have ever worked. They are quick to meet employee needs and make sure that employees have what is needed to grow with the company. Communication is now seamless and prompt. Just a great company from top to bottom. Amazing teamwork. Working from home full time is always a plus.
The only issue is having to work on weekends. Hopefully, that won't be necessary once I have climbed a few rungs of the ladder.

Good Company
I had a slightly better than average experience at the company. It wasn't amazing, but better than others. A comfortable environment, some fun conversation, and some interesting folks to engage with.
The work isn't very engaging. Seems to be some confusion about roles and chain of command. It's not the most exciting industry. It didn't feel like a long-term fit.
