There's a good work/life balance, projects are great, owner has a lot of passion for what he does.
|
Everything's remote so there's not a lot of learning going on, rather, youre given tasks and you just do it. Also, feels like the other employees are also working remotely so it gets a bit irritating that everything you want to say goes through the owner rather than have the development team talk it through before presenting it to the owner

The work is quick and varied. You tend to bounce between many projects allowing you to gain experience and skill in lots of different areas of your field.
We all work together and help each other, communication is welcomed and encouraged among employees and management.
You are encouraged to learn and better yourself. Not a week goes by that I was not learning something new.
There are always projects coming in, so even though it is a small indie company they offer stable employment. I used to have to worry about when I was going to be let go due to lack of funds.
The boss tends to bring in tons of free candy and snacks for everyone often. (hey...it's a pro in my book...)

This is a small company so be prepared to step outside just one role and fill a few shoes. The pace will be quick and you might be the only artist or programmer on a project that is due in a very short time. The timelines are usually reasonable but still tight.
The location is kinda far from Toronto, I have a 2hr commute myself.
