Working at the design center in Austin did make it hard when trying to communicate with papers across the country - you could tell the editors weren’t thrilled with the setup. Pay and benefits aren’t great and honestly the industry just feels a little uneasy as far a job security goes. Was a good job for starting my career but not sure if I saw myself there long term. Well you dont have it here. Its always multiple leadership giving multiple outcomes with no results . No one knows how right you are doing the job or how to be better when leadership just goes behind you and criticize you when its best to lead your team to be better. Raises? Ya no, not if there is a new higher up job with maybe 50cent raise to a dollar. Systems? Over 5 systems for multiple locations around USA. You cant voice your opinion or mentioned something is wrong about tenure coworkers cause you are always in the wrong or an excuse is given. Drama? Plenty! Death in the family? Yeah I only got a day when others had a week. Favortism? Alot! Job minimum pay is now $12. Decent 8-5 job but is it worth it no. I am person that likes to do better, I like to move up, i like to be heard and voiced not stepped down and be in people’s mouth saying negative things about me when it’s not worth it. This isn’t worth your time. You are better then this!! Please but please look away!
