They are also willing to let you grow into responsibilities and other positions if you show aptitude, interest and willingness to adapt to change. I always treat others with respect no matter if they were above or below me in the scheme of things. There were some middle managers that weren't respectful of others that made it difficult to work for a while but they are gone now. I've found that most everyone there are good people with talent and drive so it makes you want to do better yourself. The normal cons of Radio/Entertainment business. There can be a lack of communication from the different departments that is a work in process mostly due to lack of training or if trained lack of enforcing procedure. Sometimes too many changes too quickly can create anxiety across employees and clients. Morale and team building can be their own goals at gatherings. I've never experienced a worse management/ownership team in my life. They treat employees as a nuisance who should feel lucky to even have a job. No concerns were ever addressed. Kindness and politeness were non-existent, let alone appreciation. They berated employees and talked down to them constantly. Never seen anything like it in my life. A lot of do-it-yourself experience and a great place to beginners. Management is horrible. No real mentors and the turn over is almost unheard of. I worked there 7 months and almost all of the sale representatives, digital team, and radio hosts were fired or quit. Pay is terrible and no raises are given unless asked for. There were numerous times when employees, or bosses, were screaming at one another in offices. Lots of unnecessary meetings and internships (for the digital side) are a joke. They have kids come in a post already written articles and post images to get clicks on the website, and they have to drive almost an hour to get there. Very small company located in a trailer out in largo.
