What people come to work to do is important and so life changing. Just look at the member reviews and fellow Carrots who are on family building journeys themselves because of what we do.
|
Whole place smells of nepotism. Favorites of the CEO, COO, and CFO get to hire whoever they want. A la Oprah: PROMOTIONS AND SPECIAL PADDED ROOMS FOR EVERYONE (who is friends with these people and live in Des Moines LOL).
Not to mention the random staff running around doing weird stuff like stalking staff social media, Slack posts, tweaking "performance ratings" and handpicking "top performer" lists. Nepotism all around!

Incredibly talented and brilliant coworkers who are passionate about the family-building space and mission. But honestly, they would all be better off literally anywhere else, where their strengths and skills would be valued and properly used for growth opportunities.

Oh boy. Leadership has zero touch with reality. The gatekeeping in approval processes made hitting deadlines impossible. Regardless of the immense efforts of colleagues, it's fruitless trying to get anything done, because Tammy changes her mind constantly, cascades information in pieces to a select favorite few, and then the rest of the company has to switch gears and scramble. Rinse, repeat.

Maybe don't hire third-party vendors based on nepotism and personal connections. Also, maybe stop firing people. It's been over 3 rounds now of layoffs in 6 months? Leadership is sinking company budgets and distracts from people actually doing the good work they signed up to do. Your mission is getting lost and C-suite leadership is directly to blame. Not anyone else.

Said brilliant and supportive coworkers deserve better than the complete lack of direction from upper management for nearly two quarters, punctuated with unexplained layoffs. "Being IPO-ready" is not a direction. A lot of good talent at the mercy of petty internal politics.

Multiple rounds of layoffs with reassurances in between that further layoffs were not planned undermines trust and credibility. Middle management may not have known but surely the CPO did. Meanwhile in town halls the CEO did not acknowledge layoffs, choosing to highlight the company’s aggressive hiring plans instead. Management is going to need to find ways to rebuild trust and credibility. Sometimes layoffs are in a company’s best interest, but brushing them under a rug isn’t.
