I have worked in many NGOs but I have never seen one with worse management

Meeting colleagues from all over the world

This place is a mess. The leadership is very old school and not inclusive and they take unilateral decisions without ever consulting the project managers. It is also a top-heavy organization led mainly by white men who don't understand the context of any of the countries where our projects happen.

All staff, from top to lower management, are generally very supportive in encouraging employees develop their skillset and maintain a proper work-life balance.
|
Because the team is small, the workload can be overwhelming at times, and although management would want to encourage a work-life balance, it's difficult to do that sometimes - but I guess that's a general issue in any job/organisation.
