Mercy gohealth management genuinely do not care about your personal life. I had personal and family issues going on and they asked me to come in during a funeral. Stated if I didn’t I would get pointed for the absence. They also switch locations on you right before your shift starts and even in the middle of your shift, sometimes multiple times a day. Fake,everyone acts as if they are a team but in reality,it's very highschool. The position is a very stressful position with a lot of responsibilities and not enough pay. Stressful….too many patients leaving many openings for error!

The only reason I stayed at this job was because my team and my team lead were amazing and actually made working there a somehow bearable experience
|
-ACAs do just as much work if not more than MAs because we triage and see patients and also write our own charts (MAs don’t) some of us even draw blood and still get paid less than MAs
-Pay is EXTREMELY low for the amount of work you are expected to do
-Have to request days off approx 3 weeks in advance and if you figure out the week of you cannot make it to a shift and reach out to someone to cover you and successfully find your own coverage it still counts as a call out, and if you have too many call outs they can put you on probation
-Sites are NOT allowed to stop walk ins shift could end at 8pm and you could have 10 people in the waiting room and they all need to be seen and if another 3 people come in at 7:59 they must be seen, I have stayed over 2 hours late on some shifts because of the walk in rule
-got rid of mask mandate for patients but told us that if patients request us to wear a mask we must, which makes no sense because it puts front line workers at risk of getting sick if all our patients are coming in unmasked
-will cut your hours in the summer when it is slower (even if you are a full time employee) and will send you to other sites in the middle of your shift or the day of your shift and then once staff gets fed up and mass quits because of this they do mass hiring events to accommodate for the winter when the sites are packed
-NO LUNCH BREAKS, if you have patients back to back you will not have the time to eat, I have worked several 12 hour shifts without having a lunch break, even if you sneak away for 10 mins to eat you leave the rest of your team completely swamped
-constantly exposed to various highly contagious illnesses
-management treats healthcare like a numbers game the NPS bonus is very small and management bases most of the way gohealth is ran on $$$
-“staffing model” makes the schedule, so you could have only 1 provider and an ACA or an MA at a single high volume site on a day where you see 50+ patients
-make you fill out a survey for management to express your content/discontent with go health and then never actually implement anything to fix the problems people highlight

Run go health like an actual medical institution instead of like it’s for profit healthcare, by paying your employees fair wages and compensating them for the amount of work they do and not cutting people’s hours when people have families they need to feed and also having respect for providers and employee’s times by setting a cut off time for walks and upholding the mask mandate
