private:gojo https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=9350 Apr 21st, 2024 12:00AM Open Open GOJO Sales Operations Akron, OH Toxic Environment - Overworked, Underpaid Paid Time off and holidays were good, benefits are okay, but could be better, and the people you work with are amazing. Work from home is excellent, only thing that kept me for as long as it did. Upper management makes terrible business decisions, and then places the blame on the workforce, especially sales. Obviously they had a record breaking year in 2020, but sales can't always be through the roof like this. Buying up more warehouse space, ethenol plants, and the desire to continually go green set the company back so far, they did workforce reductions multiple times per year beginning in 2021 to make up for it. When the workforce is cut, remaining employees are expected to "pitch in" and "do your part" for the better of the company, but that means added stress and being overworked. People aren't feeling like part of the family when they aren't getting competitive raises, bonuses are cut due to "low sales" and poor business decisions. Ultimately, the company has either cut a lot of good folks or many of us have left due to the current conditions. Their new "transparent pay" grades are ridiculous, as they basically tell you they're only paying you 75-85% of the midpoint for that role, when the midpoint is questionable compared to that of similar roles at other companies. I would not recommend working here. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL -1.0 DISAPPROVE 3.0 3.0 4.0 2.0 2.0 3.0 1.0 4.0 9350 Open Take accountability for your actions, and take a look at your Pulse Survey responses. private:gojo https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=9350 Mar 31st, 2024 12:00AM Open Open GOJO Not a good place to build a lasting career Pre-Covid the culture was great. Leadership cared about employees and their growth. They were open to new ideas. It was a good place to spend decades building a career. Post Covid - only pros were hybrid work environments and paid time off. Constantly being overworked or told to do more with less. Expected same outcomes even though budgets were cut and marketing never ran its course. Sales and marketing were disjointed. Leadership didn’t value marketing or its efforts which was apparent when layoffs happened which happened annually if not more. Roles weren’t backfilled. Culture became forced. Hard to believe in “GOJO family” when massive workforce reductions happen and you have to carry on not only without your colleagues but absorbing the workload and added stress. Lost some of the most talented people post COVID. There are very few people left to do the work but a lot of senior leaders left. It isn’t a place where you can let your guard down to feel like you can be there 5, 10, or 15 years. Every year is Russian roulette with layoffs or reorganization. I wouldn’t be surprised if they keep the skeleton crew and try to sell to private equity again in a few years. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 1.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 2.0 4.0 9350 Open Read the employee pulse surveys. Change the culture or continue to lose the people that made GOJO great (either by their choice or blind layoffs). Pay your employees a better wage for taking on multiple roles at once. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 6.0 Open Apr 2nd, 2024 03:15PM Apr 2nd, 2024 03:15PM GOJO Industries

All of this combined results in a toxic dependency environment that makes people feel less confident in their abilities. private:gojo https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=9350 Feb 29th, 2024 12:00AM Open Open GOJO Sales Once a beacon in the industry, now a laughing stock My colleagues who are treated like absolutely trash day in and day out are amazing, continue to work hard, we support one another, and genuinely care about integrity of our work How does GOJO still employ the same C Suite who have tanked company moral. 30% approval rating for a company that used to be a leader in the industry? The over promising, under delivering, all employees gung-ho were in this together mantra is old. It’s amazing the amount of workforce reductions we’ve done, while being asked to do more, and yet top level leadership level people remain the same. There is so much ego involved, no consistency in direction, and has been a rudderless company for many, many years. Most tenured and skilled employees are actively looking for new positions. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 0.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 9350 Open Listening is not a key competency of the senior leadership team 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 0.0 Open Mar 2nd, 2024 02:53AM Mar 2nd, 2024 02:53AM GOJO Industries
