private:goldensource https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=30492 Sep 10th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open GoldenSource Corporation Software Engineer Mumbai Learning without growth 1) Management encourages you to take responsibility also provide you the freedom to do your job. 2) flexible work hours 3) work from home (few managers are reluctant to approve) 4)quartely lunch/ party culture 5) if you are willing to explore, one can find a lot of work. 1) there is lot of biaseness when it comes to appraisal (more or less it happens in every company but here it is pretty much visible ) 2) no matter how good you perform and how nice comments you get on your face, the increment / appraisal may not reflect the same 3) 2 or 3 people manage the increment process of entire Mumbai organization and teams directly working under them benefits from this. 4) people who managed to stay under their wings, have been serving for more than a decade - for new entrant it becomes difficult to gain the trust or impress the manager. 5) not all managers are empowered, they hardly have any say in promoting or appraising their resources - it is also a demotivating factor 6) unfortunately if you end up reporting under such manager, growth prospects will be very weak. 7) non technical managers are leading technical teams, at times it becomes very frustrating making them understand the challenges. Also such managers failed to understand the complications in development hense not in a position to acknowledge good work. 8) zero descipline while conducting a development cycle or in code freeze.
