Good people that come and go. Sort of flexible schedule.
|
Almost everything is fake or a lie. From finances (investments, payroll, revenue, CEO expenses are all made up or lied about or covered up) to technology (no real AI use) to expectations on career or salary (typical "it's being worked on" talks to delay and delay). Even contractors, which everyone is signed on as such, is treated like a full time employee but with the benefit to the company of having a contractor and none of the full time benefits to the worker. No unity or focus and tensions run high between all teams. It's not just typical start up growing pains or anything and you can only be a start up for so long - in this case there have been many pivots and entire multiple teams/advisors/investors have quit and been completely replaced over and over again. Only thing going for it is marketing and looking good to the outside world or in other words, snake oil. As an employee you will be taken advantage of and everything you sign is geared to put you at a major disadvantage so read carefully.

Focus on agility and a need to find quick and simple solutions to complex problems. Friendly co-workers and a lot of opportunities to sink your teeth into new disciplines.

Churn during critical periods may be overlooked during one of the many management turnovers. Contract workers may be at the mercy of a manager for pay whether their agreement is hourly or not and may receive little to no communication if submitted time is not approved. Time invested in producing for the company can be easily forgotten. Late hours may be common to meet a deadline manufactured by upper management to entice or appease investors and potential clients.
