Wonderful place to live and work

The city of Grand Forks has good benefits and is family friendly. They give paid holiday's and for non-essential personnel, snow days during severe blizzards. The economy is Grand Forks is every growing and very stable. There is ALWAYS work to be found in Grand Forks.

The city of Grand Forks becomes very cold in the winter. If you work outside it can become very difficult to get going for work. This leads to gossip which tends to get worse during the winter months.

Good Senior Leadership, the town is moving in the direction of becoming more YP friendly and more enviormentaly consious. A great college town. A population of about 60,000 in town and the sorunding community has about another 125,000. A very healthy and safe community.

Salary levels and raises are set by the City Council so it is a very political process. It is often dishearting to hear negative comments about city emloyees by the council .
