I loved working as the salon Manager for the Ocoee Great Clips off of Silverstar, I would definitely say the GM is Amazing and really showed me Kindness! My Stylist were awesome as well

The fact that you have to take clients up till close and they don’t care if it’s one minute till close. And they want you to work a lot of weekends. And dealing with management is terrible

Drama filled and chaotic. There was always drama.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I worked 9-7 most days and I made good money but it was stressful.

What is the best part of working at the company?
You get to have flexible hours. They pay by the hour so you always have a check no matter what. They will work your butt off. You make great tips.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They are busy so you have to keep up. Ring people in and out. You also have to sweep your own stations. And you have to drive the deposit to the bank. When your a team leader.

It's fun. And the people are all really cool to work for.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Great. You punch in count the drawer. When your a team leader you put numbers on the board and do paperwork. They don't pay enough for that though

Management is terrible and scheduling is a huge issue
The work place is clean if the employees actually do shop duties
The job itself is great considering clients and productivity and is only hard due to management
The only enjoyable part is making someone's day because you made there confidence boost by enhancing their physical appearance

The money is quick and easy, but they work you hard. They don't care about quality of haircuts as long as you're meeting your numbers and getting people in and out as quickly as possible. Also, if you're not meeting their criteria, they drop your pay.

This is a place that’s good if you want to make a quick buck and can cut hair fast… I made good money but I busted out 25+ haircuts a shift. The girls I worked with were all awesome.

I’ve been with Great Clips 23 years! It’s been my favorite salon life so far. We have a great team! My manager is fabulous! We are like family. I would recommend Great Clips to anyone looking for a job that is rewarding and always learning something new! My favorite and enjoyable part of the job is making people look beautiful and lending a ear to people that just need someone to hear them! I love lifting people’s spirits! Worse part … wait for it… I got nothing! Really it’s a great gig!
