The interview process was great. I got the job in less than a month and worked with them for about 5 years. My pay rate and comission was fantastic at the time. I would work with them again if given the opportunity.

I worked for 2 different complexes at Greystar. The first one was not great, lots of favoritism, the upper management was horrible, maintenance was overwhelmed and overworked. The residents would be screaming at you pretty much every day with no help at all from upper management.
The current property I am at is a smaller team, the maintenance is fantastic and I have not been yelled at once by residents. The upper management actually knows who everyone is and steps in to help when needed.
Benefits are good. You get 20% off rent at most places (only sister properties, which is same owners) and beware the percentage does depend on the owners of the complex. It is really easy to transfer and move up in the company if you'd like. Overall not a bad place to work if you get the right complex!

The wrong people are in leadership roles and hold you back

Head note, Greystar HR will ALWAYS take the word of a regional over a manager no matter the situation. I gave 7 years of my life to Greystar and was promoted 4 times in those 7 years which ended because I quit due to poor leadership from a RPM who had SEVERAL people under her quit over the years and yet nothing has changed. I was PHENOMENAL at my job and have the numbers to prove it. In my last 6 months with Greystar I was treated terribly under new management at my property and no one cared, my employees were also treated the same and nothing came of their complaints either. Most of greystar's leadership teams will hold you back in their benefit, work the bare minimum and still work you to the ground all while continuing to collect a pay check and be with the "in crowd" job security is great when youre friends with the right people isnt it. Also, after I left 4 of my employees followed within 60 days, my replacement gave notice after 3 months also (all at the same property), says alot huh.
