private:gridnet https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=278073 Aug 21st, 2019 12:00AM Open Open Grid Net Software Engineer San Francisco, CA Talented, cross disciplinary team. Interesting work. Engineers get to wear many hats. CTO puts in more time than anyone and knows what he is talking about. He will listen to the most junior engineer, as long as they can explain/defend their choices (which, they will have to). The VP of engineering is very accessible, knowledgeable and thoughtful. If the team is working until 4am to make a deadline, he is there writing and running unit tests on their code. In short, the engineering team is awesome. The operations team can be difficult at times (depends how they are feeling that day). Although, I believe that has been corrected. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 5.0 4.0 5.0 3.0 3.0 5.0 278073 Open End-user experience is paramount, even in enterprise software. Located in San Francisco. It's a dictatorship. Incredibly incompetent "leadership" - or more accurately no leadership. Total absence of foresight, planning or roadmap. Reactive management. A total imbalance of responsibilities. No recognition of good work and/or effort. Extremely bleak outlook. Wild west spaghetti code makes for a poor quality product. When it's time to deliver engineers will be working weekends while the CEO & CTO are taking another vacation. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 2.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 278073 Open View everything you've done at Grid Net as "what not to do". 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 0.0 Feb 28th, 2021 10:29PM Feb 28th, 2021 10:29PM Grid Net
