revolving door for management, current management has a lack of industry knowledge, company is unwilling or unable to invest in advertising or marketing for their shops because the website and products get all of their attention (despite being generic knock-offs of superior products), low pay, lousy benefits, bait and switch tactics for sales incentives, lack of human resources.

It was nice at first, then I questioned whether it was the right choice.

The guest are very nice and interesting. The front desk personnel are nice and fun.

Management leaves a lot to be desired. There wasn't any real communication or attempts to solve issues known or unknown.

Instead of acting like you are open minded, you really should be. Actually speak up if you feel that there is an issue. With a conversation you may actually find a solution other than just dismissing a person. Be honest up front. No one's life is perfect.

I'm speaking for the VA location: Great co-workers, great environment, and overall, great guests. You don't even feel like you're at work because (as long as you're totally normal) you easily become friends with everyone, as well as the guests. The products are good and management was always awesome!

You become so attached to the awesome people you work with that it's hard to leave. Galleria employee parking is annoying unless you don't get caught

Try putting a sign up front with service menus like wildfire does. I always saw shy guys walk by and just look in making it obvious they were too shy to come in and grab a service menu

You know what you're going to get. Professional management, fair and generally kind. Ongoing education and room for growth. It's not like working at a salon -- it's like working for a business. that works for me. Some others maybe not, but I like to know I'll get paid on time, treated right and have a clean and safe work environment.

You have to be "on" all the time and they don't tolerate slacking. I'd also like to be a bit more creative in my dress, but I signed up to wear a uniform so that's cool.

VERY high turnover rate

You get one free service a month and a discount on products which is a plus but that's about it.

Huge divide between front of the house (salon receptionists that they give a management title to but don’t allow to really manage anything except for appointments and the cash register... try to give a performance plan to one of the" groomers" for being late or doing something wrong and suddenly you will be the one in trouble) and the back of the house (barbers, technicians... etc.) Once in a while you'll see the owner and people will act like things are running smoothly when they aren't. Also breaks are sometimes cut short vs. scheduling people correctly and depending on which location you work at the break area is merely a glorified walk in closet.

Take more time to develope the managers you have on staff and have a weekly sitdown personal touch basis with them so they know what they are doing well and what they need to improve upon (in a constructive way). This way you'll build team morale, improve communication among upper and lower management, and have a lower turnover rate.
