Massive industry presence, software presence emerging
The senior staff, especially the CEO, is incredibly experienced and knowledgeable in the produce industry. They are driven and skilled to make the company successful. The software products that the company produces has the potential to transform the industry. Corporate-level management recognizes key talents and compensates generously.
Mid-level management is spread thin across departments/teams, not managed by a single standard, resulting in little cohesion between each team's members' pay, benefits, workload, and work culture. Software teams are understaffed for the ambitious product the company wishes to create, again resulting in increasing the workload of the existing members.

Awesome Team, Cutting-Edge Tech, All About Speed and Working Together.
Working at my company is incredibly rewarding for those of us who are passionate about tech and innovation. We're constantly on the forefront, pushing the envelope with our software solutions.
Agile development is our jam, allowing us to swiftly tackle challenges and bring cool ideas to life, often within just a few weeks. It's seriously cool to see our team's skills and dedication shine through in our work.
The work environment is super positive and collaborative. Everyone is supportive, helping to cultivate an open and efficient culture that stands out from the more bureaucratic vibes you might find in larger companies. This atmosphere enables us to focus deeply on developing impactful software.
The work pace here is fast, and the pressure is significant. Occasionally, this means working extra hours or even during holidays to stay on track with projects and deadlines.

Fun while it lasted
Really loved the startup time. Struggled with transition from startup to more corporate environment. Generally very pleasant and hardworking people.
Didn’t get a lot of raises even with promotion and new responsibilities. Was never really allowed to break out and shine.

Amazing workplace and team culture
Working at GrubMarket has been an incredible experience so far. There is a lot of hard work involved, but the rewards and appreciation make it all worthwhile. Leadership takes a hands-on approach, providing the support and resources needed for success. They have done a great job at creating a culture that fosters teamwork, innovation, and individual recognition. This is definitely a company that values growth and a positive workplace culture.
I personally do not have any cons; if you are open to a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities, GrubMarket is a great place to work.

Leadership Issues and Toxic Company
The employees are great and hard workers
The top leadership does not care about the employees. They lead with fear. If you disagree with them, they will find a way to get rid of you. They yell and scream at employees and each other. It is a toxic work environment.

WORST PLACE TO WORK AT (no positive stars)
Nice view from the 5th Floor
The list of why you shouldn’t work here is infinite…
-Very Poor diversity, I only landed a job there because my resume is pretty extensive and the hiring manager at that time was not biased. 95% of the HQ team is Asian, they do pass on good talent if they are not Asian. They discriminate on other races, I worked there for more than a year I was the only Latina. When I saw applications they were VERY filtered, I never saw any other than Asians. The demographic numbers don’t lie.
-Most of employees at HQ are visa sponsored so they can have full control of them, intimidate them and overwork them.
-They acquire little companies that aren’t managed by real managers and they have 0 clue of federal, state, wage laws.
-They currently have a thousand of HR related issues but there’s no HR Department.
-The recruitment process is the worst, they really waste people’s time.
-There’s no fair pay structure, or their pay structure is non existent.
-Expect 0 performance reviews.
-The CFO and CEO have very serious controlling and trust issues.
-They offer company lunch so you can’t even move from your desk. They don’t have a clue of the meaning of an “exempt” employee. They treat you like you are hourly.
-They project this fake “good profitable culture”.
-Horrible Benefit Package.
-They don’t follow their own Handbook Policies.
-The CEO and CFO have some very intense toxic relationships where yelling, punching walls, flipping tables can be heard.
-Working there is a huge liability for your mental health.
-Very unorganized place to work, there’s never clear direction of your role.
-Communication and how they handle things are not transparent.
-Managers are just a tittle, they aren’t allow to manage.
-Most importantly never get on their bad side, that’ll get you fired!

…to the CFO and CEO, remember that empires with a bad foundation usually collapse. Your staff is your foundation, they are your biggest asset, if they don’t get treated well, your empire is going to collapse. Again…money runs out and you can’t buy loyalty and good talent with it.

Great Place to Work and Feel Valued
Pros of working at GrubMarket: Positive team culture and work ethic Opportunities to share opinions and ideas on managing projects and improving the product Appreciation and recognition from the team all the way up to the CEO Utilization of tools to maintain communication and collaboration among remote team members Trust in employees to complete tasks without constant supervision Overall, GrubMarket provides a refreshing change from unhealthy work cultures, and I am excited to continue growing within the company.
I wish we had more Company Swag. Would like to Promote/Advertise more during meetings and while traveling. Also, Wish we had maybe an anual Comopany Meeting to be able to get together in person with team members.
