They’re the kind of people you can depend on in a tight spot. Working on construction, you need to be able to trust your coworkers (sometimes with your life). So it’s always good to be working with a group of reliable people who understand what it means to work as a team. I personally hated that my calls were recorded for training purposes. I really appreciate the health and safety measures the company took to keep all of their employees safe, but I’m also glad we were still able to accept jobs and go out and earn money. I don’t know what I would have done without the regular work I got through Grus. When I first started out, I didn’t know nearly as much as I do now. I’ve learned a lot along the way, which helps me get more work, and therefore more experience. It’s a positive cycle of career growth. They become like family. I still keep up with most of them. Some months are feast and some are famine. Looking for work is even MORE work than actually doing a job. They take all of that off your plate so that you only have to focus on doing the job you were hired for. They constantly kept us employees in the loop and let us know what was going on, made sure we were safe but could still work as much as possible to help our families. I’m impressed by how well the Grus team has managed everything this past year.
