Great learning experience
|
A typical day at gse consisted of operating a large machine that drew out large rolls of plastic. You would then tie up the rolls and sit them out of the way using a crane. I learned a lot about the importance of being attentive at work as well as building a good working rhythm.

Poor safety poor management low morale

The training or should I say lack of training makes it difficult to progress in this company upon walking into this job feels as though you are thrown to the wolves by far the most unsafe facility I have ever worked in and from talking with some employees that have been with the company for a while they will say they work for a building not a company because of the ownership shifting so much.

Fast paced low budget company.

I enjoyed working at GSE. The company was recently purchased and I lost my job through restructuring. Previously the company was owned by an investment group which didn't really invest in updating/repairing the equipment. The Houston Plant will take a major investment to become reliable production site for the new owners.

Great Finance Accounting Team Ever

Best Finance and Accounting team I worked for ever, even though the company has some been somewhat disappointing.
Work and Life balance is very good. In the past 7 years working for GSE, I have experienced two IPO's, a merger, built a plant, closed a plant, refinance, bankruptcy, and being purchased by a competitor. It is all valuable experience.
However, the company does not provide the best benefit.
