I have been here for many years and have noticed no sexism or sexual harassment. The employee knew the pay before she started so to claim it wasn't enough after being here such a short period of time isn't credible. She knew what the pay was. There is no parking nearby for $200 a month so not sure where she was parking. There are several low cost lots around and bus service is available. Again, she knew she was working downtown. You are not required to obtain health insurance and there are plenty of other options outside the company if one isn't happy. No one is hired to print someone's emails. Admin needs to understand they COST the company money where the brokers bring in money. Working as a team is vital to keep the company profitable.

Don't enable ineffective employees as it's brings the great employee's morale down. When someone is constantly calling in sick or having to be talked to for making mistakes - let them go.

Everything but here’s a short list of the worst things: 1) The President caters only to the agents and brokers. They can get away with anything. He does nothing. I witnessed constant sexual harassment and degrading remarks made by brokers and agents (twice over team meetings). Even when reported nothing was done. One broker would sit in his office and constantly be screaming and having hissy fits like a child. He would throw things and treat employees like dirt. Honestly I wasn’t even there for a year and I could go on and on about how horrible and entitled these men were. Every cliche and ridiculous thing you hear that happens in corporate offices happens here. 2) The pay. They pay well under industry standards, offer no opportunities for advancement or raises. They except you to pay for parking which is $200 a month and pay you maybe $18 an hour. Meanwhile, the brokers who make 3x the amount the admin make get free parking and vacations. By the time health insurance is taken out and paying for parking most of your check is gone. 3) Benefits. They have health insurance with premiums that are $400+ per pay check. It's a joke. 4) You have no direction at all and no training. Then when you cant magically read minds, you get pulled into a room to be told how horrible you are at your job. 5) The whole place is like a 80s/90s office. No one knows how to use a computer, so if you get hired, expect to be IT. Honestly, they could get away with one admin person if the lazy brokers would take two minutes to learn how to use a computer. One employee is basically there to print one guys emails. ALL his emails.

Start treating your staff better. If a broker or another employee makes sexual advances, bullies, etc, FIRE THEM. Stop making your admin pay for parking. To be frank most of your employees can work from home and make more money. Show them some appreciation besides a pizza party. Stop acting like it's the 90s. It's not your staff or your brokers fault, you were stupid and signed a lease for an almost vacant downtown building. You had the perfect opportunity to cut that tie and move into the modern age with a smaller office and more people at home. Stop trying to get them downtown. It’s dumb, it’s a waste of gas and time that your brokers and staff could use to make you more money. Don’t make promises you can’t keep. Again, I could go on all day but you are lucky none of your former or current employees haven’t sued you.

Cons Outweight the Pros

Work/Life balance would be the best pro for the office.
Beyond a few bad attitudes, this would be an enjoyable place to work because of the work/life balance. There are some really talented employees that work here, but the bad does outway the good.

Very poor culture. Some brokers have poor temperament which makes working at your desk almost impossible without wearing headphones to drown out arguments, heated phone calls, and gossip.
There is little to no advancement from your original hiring position. Pay is not at all what the industry average is. Very small raise structure that is not promised, sometimes it's unfortunately not even a cost of living percentage.
Very technically inept. A lot of time will be wasted on filling up paper in printers, making copies, teaching how to use a computer, etc., even if you are not IT or admin.

Better salary structures and pay raises. Holding everyone (brokers and employees) accountable for their actions. Bring in IT to teach offices how to use computers instead of relying on staff members. Hire an actual HR position in the office to help with staffing and broker issues.

Can’t think of anything good to say.

Lack of advancement opportunities. Low pay, not even competitive within the market and industry. Poor communication from upper management. Poor office organization/structure. Limited benefits, especially vacation/PTO. Personal and professional politics run rampant in this place.
