Decent management but lots of favoritism
|
Hanson logistics is an okay place to get the feel for what a cold storage facility is. However, staff is severely underpaid if you work in the office area and many times I would have to stay over due to other’s lack of performance. Management seemed to only promote those who they had a personal relationship with and not those who have been there longer/worked harder.

This place sucks. Low pay, management is not good, cold. Worked like a dog with no room for advancement. Uses staffing jobs to not have to pay employees benefits then doesn’t hire on as employees

Don't waste your time. Long hours, trash pay, expensive insurance and no opportunity for advancement. I'd never work there again for any amount of pay.

I thorourly enjoyed my time at Hanson Logistics. At times it coul be quite stessfull but i enjoy a challenge. I started as a warehouse operative,gaining promotion to supervisor and eventually becoming senior supervisor and taking charge in the warehouse managers absence.I am fully conversant in all aspects of warehouse operations and hold counterbalance.VNA, and flexi truck licences

Job with plenty of hours to work in a day and through the week. Have to be conditioned to work in the cold.

If you are a young, single person who's just trying to hold a steady job to pay bills on his/ her own this is the job for you. This job requires workers to work 10-12 hour shifts through 5-7 days of the week. So you don't really have time to yourself other than the rest required before going back in for the next time to work.

Some like it some dont. If u cant handle a work out for 8 10 hours a day at work, not your type of job unless your fork lift only. I learned alot working there. I miss being employed there. My managers were awesome if you could take a joke and give one back. Do what your expected and it all good.

Way too process focused and not enough on getting the job done. We spend lots of time in meetings discussing what we did or didn't get done in the prior week; versus actually getting "stuff" done. We aspire to being a great place to work, which is positive. We have spent significant time establishing our Strategic and Cultural plans which is also positive. There IS a sense of family and employees are valued - but resources are not necessarily evenly deployed to solve problem areas while all are held accountable. It could be an awesome place to work, right now it's a good place to work.

When they take money to pay the insurance out of your pocket out of what little raised you get insurance is good Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan very expensive $100 a week for two people 128 for family 3000 out-of-pocket expense for each person do work a lot of hours people are good best ways to be strict and to the point
