Lack of communication from upper management and false promises.

The only pro I have found from working for Hawthorne are the health benefits and compensation.
|
There are major issues with Regional Management and above. There is a serious lack of communication between upper management and onsite teams. You can ask a question and receive an answer months later , if you get an answer at all. False promises are made all the time and the narrative always changes leaving you unsure if you can trust anything you’ve been told. Company is busy building and buying so many properties that the older ones they have are left in dissary and there is no consistency between different on-site management policies. Atmosphere is very fake. If you’re friends with the regional or the most managers you can get away with running your office like garbage or doing your job poorly. If you’re not in the “in crowd” you better be great at your job or you’re canon fodder. I’ve been to far too many properties that are run terribly and inconsistently. Don’t forget the severe amount of nepotism in the company. Owners have their family members sprinkled throughout company and most have no idea how to do their job.
