Was Laid off After AEP After being told we would have jobs after AEP. They let go 50 or more agents saying it was due to poor sales. They routed calls to me in states where i was not even licensed. I was more of a transfer agent giving sales away. Worked 12 to 16 hours 7 days a week , transferred calls i sold for agents and still laid off.

During the interview process we were told overtime was optional, two months later we found at that’s not true- we worked 60-80hrs overtime. 80 hours a week for two weeks straight once. Also commission is taxed 27-29%

Don’t make promises to agents to get them to sell more and only overwork them. It’s understandable that you are in the business of making money but when you have people in upper management saying things like “greed is good “ it’s quite shameful and shows that you don’t really care about the people we are supposed to be helping. It will also make employees think you don’t care if you cheat them out of their money (several promises/rewards were proposed to the top sellers)
Also please don’t tell people they will be working 40hours and PTO is optional just to get them in the door. We were all told last minute that we would have to work 80 hours a week for 2 weeks. For people with kids -giving them this news LAST MINUTE is quite an inconvenience.

The leadership team is incredible, very talented with a lot of experience in the industry which is going to catapult this company.

I don't consider it to be a con, but its very fast paced, and much of what we are doing is in build mode. For those seeking out a company that is "already there", this would not be an ideal environment. But those who are seeking to contribute to the future of a company and leave their finger prints all over their work, this is a great opportunity.

I'll update my review after I have been here longer, but it has been a fantastic experience thus far. Our benefits are great, we received brand new/ state of the art equipment and the training has been phenomenal. I come from a large company where I was treated like a mere number. Health IQ really invests in their employees. Coming from an insurance sweatshop, this has really been a top notch process. I'm back to feeling like a professional (I have worked too hard in my career to be treated as anything less ). When a company treats employees well and invests in their success, they work harder for them and end up giving their clients an overall better customer experience. It elevates the company as a whole. I'm thrilled to be working for a company that understands that. This is a tough industry. Selling on the phones (especially to skeptical seniors) is not easy. The quality of the company you work for is so important. I have heard great things about this company and it has lived up to the hype so far. Again, I will be able to tell more once I am out in the trenches. Training wise, I would feel far more comfortable working with an agent from this company than anywhere else I have seen.
