The pay isn't that great as well but has good benefits. You get in trouble for every little thing unless you're on her favorites. They never acknowledged how important the phlebotomists were to the company. Without them...there is no company. My supervisor was horrible and a lier. The work environment was toxic and “clicky”. Brown nosing was encouraged and you could never please management enough. The company itself isn’t bad -benefits and PTO are great and the company knows you’ll stick around for them. Management is expected to work 50-60 hours/week in addition to 24/7 on call coverage with no work/home life balance. Benefits are excellent for full-time employees with generous PTO. The executive team has changed immensely through mostly retirements, but some company shakeups as well. While this would seem like things are unsettled, it has truly created a new dynamic at HNL. New opinions and experiences from these leaders, along with a brand refresh, has made me feel like I am working for an entirely different organization. While all companies have their sore spots, I truly believe the good outweighs the bad. The benefits are incredibly inexpensive, even for part-timers (yes, insurance for PART-TIMERS!) the PTO is more than generous (going into my third year, I am going to get 5 weeks of vacation (including holidays), and they have a tuition assistance program! Because HNL is open 24/7, it can sometimes be hard to get all employees together and engaged, but the company does its best to accommodate the off shifts. I highly recommend working for HNL! Great co workers. Hours are flexible but as management see as flexible. If your are to work a holiday its non negotiable. ( unless someone is willing to work it for you) One thing I can say is if you show up for scheduled shifts and work extra hours as needed they are good to their employees.
