Certain managers are fantastic. Some focus on your personal and career growth. If you can look past certain individuals, it's a great place to work. Usually an all around positive attitude, if you know how to navigate the political landscape. If you know how to define your own goals and articulate them, you can grow within Heifer. Most leadership is understanding if you can show value. Leadership often overlooks the toxicity of certain individuals. Either because of ignorance or their own bias and values. Sometimes, this toxicity can infect the motivation and drive performance down. Communication between groups is few and far between. You can often feel silo-ed.
