There are 2 owners and less than 50 employees. Sometimes it would feel like they are trying to avoid you if you're not "one of the boys". Would probably help to chat a bit more with everyone.
Open floor plans are a joke. It does nothing but bring collaboration and production down. You'll see the devs, and pretty much everyone, with their headphones on.
I think as business owners get younger and more tech savvy this company will have to find a new way to differentiate itself with it's CMS platform. The dev team is certainly capable of delivering something.

None - this company is a total joke.
|
Stay away from this company and don't be fooled by the fake reviews. I made the biggest mistake of my career working here. Does it make sense for a company of 20 people to have more than 20 5-star reviews in the past two years? They are constantly incentivizing employees to get fake reviews both on Glassdoor and Google. This company is at the peak of unethical digital marketing practices.

The people are great, management is supportive and the overall atmosphere is very team oriented. The company hosts some great events to bring us all together, which made being the "new guy" much easier when it came to getting to know people outside of just my immediate team. I'm really enjoying working here and looking forward to the continued success of HLM.

This job isn't for employees with the "employee mindset." You need to have drive, a strong work ethic and good attitude. If you have those than there aren't any cons.

The atmosphere of the office is friendly and the people I work with are good at offering assistance when I need it and answering dumb questions when I have them.
A lot of people at the office have shared interests or know one another outside of work, everyone gets along better than other companies I have worked at.
Most people seem to like their job here and produce good work.
Management listens to feedback and is very open about what is happening in the company.
When the weather is bad most people are able to work remotely, in some departments there are people who work remotely.

I was compelled to leave a response here because of some disgruntled employee that has nothing better to do then sit around and spew negativity and false information. I can tell you the culture is great and even more so since HLM removed a few bad apples. I’ve serviced clients and being able to deliver is amazing. I’m excited to be here and can’t wait for what 2019 will unfold.

The office does have bad HVAC at times.... However this is the management company that owns the buildings issue - maybe we can intervene ? I know they try to address the issues as they come up.

I was given this opportunity many years ago as just a kid and changed my life from day one. The knowledge I learned from both owners is more valuable than anything to me and I feel is very rare in most companies that you actually have the opportunity to sit with the owners extremely frequently and they actually listen! They took me in with zero experience and showed me the ropes, giving me professional advice as well as personal life advice that was always appreciated. One of the owners actually taught me everything I know and proved to be way more valuable than a college degree in my field. To this day I still see him as my mentor and am always learning new things from him even today almost 10 years later. I am forever grateful to these two individuals for giving me an opportunity in their start-up. Since day one I have continued to grow with the company and learn new things every day. Without HLM I can honestly say I don't know where I would be in life, they gave me a skill and a purpose in my professional life as well as help me get to where I wanted to be. I can guarantee that if you have the drive to put out good work, have strong work ethic, and take pride in your growth, you will go very far at this company.

I have been an employee at High Level Marketing since 2011. Over the last eight years, I have been able to witness firsthand the company grow tremendously. Our staff has grown in size from a handful, to a full team of 50 dedicated employees. This is a company that truly values the opinions of their clients and their staff.
The office vibe is one that is laid back, but that gets the job done. There is a great work / fun balance, where you can enjoy the work you are doing. We have company outings, happy hours, tasty treats in the break room, lots of laughs and great times.
This company values their employees and provide them with some really awesome opportunities, such as, continued education in your specialty, comfortable office environment, optional remote working in some situations. These are in addition to health benefits, good compensation, flexible vacation and 401k options.
High Level Marketing's owners, management and staff not only care about online marketing and growing our client’s businesses, but also care about the community. Several times a year we devote our time and resources to give back - through working at Gleaner's Food Bank, adopting families during the holiday season and more. There are a lot of kind and compassionate individuals that work here.
It is a bit disheartening to see people sabotaging a great company and leaving such false reviews, when you know the work environment and core values are none of those things. This is a great place to work. Is it perfect? No. What business can honestly boast "our company is flawless in every way"? Not a single one. However, what you do want to know when you are interviewing with a company or deciding whether to give them your business is will this company listen to my needs, value me as a human being and treat me fairly. The answer to all of those things is YES at HLM. We admittedly make mistakes, but we also own them and work to correct them.
Overall, my experience at HLM in the last eight years is a journey that I would never change. This was a company that hired me out of college, when I had no real life industry experience. They believed in me and have given me all the resources that I needed to grow personally and professionally. I am thankful for the opportunity to work at HLM and strongly encourage others to consider a career here as well.
