Customers tend to be friendly and happy, after all they are shopping for things they like, a hobby. If you are a crafter, you can have interesting exchanges, discovering what others are doing, and also it's nice to be dealing with products you like.

Don't get enough hours. Not a lot of opportunity for growth. Inconsistent management and employees do not necessarily reflect the values you might expect at Hobby Lobby.

Improve training protocol. Do some kind of cross training or peer reviewing between department heads, management, cashiers, long timers and new employees. Employees tend to be cliquey and unwelcoming or unfriendly to each other.
