Management does not care about the employees. They are often disconnected, patronizing and show flamboyant favoritism towards certain individuals. Training is stressful and a couple of the training CSM"s are very helpful and able to answer questions politely and encoraging, but there are others that are completely rude ans seem to enjoy embarrassing new employees in front of customers continously.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They have a very good medical plan that has helped me.
What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Their on time policy. I make it to work 45 minutes before I need to clock in. Also they promote people who suck up to team leaders and supervisors instead of work ethics. This makes for misinformation between leaders to employees.
What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful most of the time. We never know if we are to be let off at a scheduled time, so that we can do the things we need to do outside of work.
What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work as fast as you can to get the job done. If you don’t keep up, you can be fired.

Great entry level job

Hobby lobby was a great place to start to learn new skills such as time management, responsibility, communication, etc. So I would definitely recommend for someone needing starting experience in customer service and management. Main downside, it was a little difficult with management at times.

Stressful unorganized severely ill-equipped(no tools for the job and hardly any correct material)

Come in wait to hear what the co-manager says to do. Which most of the time he had no idea so we would wipe stuff down until he figured out what to do. Which would end up being the most common sense thing to do. Management sucks in the industrial maintenance department. You learn how not to be a manager. Most co-workers a cool. Hardest part was finding motivation daily to continue coming in.

Benefits they offer suck. And for the stuff you gotta put up with, pay sucks. It's pretty much full of high school like drama.

its bad pay for the amount of work they want you to do and they cut hours during the spring and summer making it hard to earn money. management is good but the higher ups are the real issue

Good job sometimes, very taxing on me though

I enjoyed working at this particular Hobby Lobby because the employees were great and hardworking, management was very nice and understanding. However you have to make sure to memorize the weekly ad because they generally don't tell you if any sales change. If you're a cashier you'll probably be doing other things around the store as well. It was pretty good for a retail job, however my disability prevented me from being able to work a lot of hours.
