Great social events
Great rewards when you reach targets
Director of the Legal team is great and it feels like she honestly cares about you.

Work is slow and very target driven without much leeway.
Pressure is high to reach targets.
Other employees can create a toxic working environment where money is the only goal adding other pressures such as not being allowed to take a proper lunch break etc.

The Edinburgh office is a smaller team when compared to other parts of the business, they have created a collaborative environment between consultants which is a nice change in recruitment.
Plenty of support is offered for those who are willing to use it and ask for help.
During the Pandemic the upper management was extremely transparent about all decisions being made and how they would impact us.
If you have the drive to sell and can manage candidates and clients this is a great opportunity to earn good money and develop new skills but comes at the cost of long hours
Even when handing in my notice to return to university the management was extremely supportive and understanding.

Long hours, as expected with the recruitment industry you need to be ready for long weeks and calls in the evening to support candidates and clients when needed.
Very heavily targeted, lots of pressure to sell and hit targets. Can be stressful

Good starting salary, and clear structure for promotions/payrises. Good holiday allowance. Good incentives. Good team dynamic at consultant level. Good systems and tools to do your job.

On the job training can be hit and miss depending on who your manager is and what their motivations are. The Edinburgh office environment created by management is very unprofessional, toxic in fact. We have lost good people, with great potential because they couldn't take the atmosphere and the way they were treated any longer which is such a shame.

Good clients, nice team and free tea and coffee. The systems we use are very good and commission is good too. The company over all is great with opportunity to be promoted.

Working in the Scotland office, we are being made to be physically in the office 3 days a week during the pandemic. Management makes negative comments about certain staff members and creates an unprofessional playground culture. HR cannot be approached as anything reported to them is fed back to management. Being in a small office away from London means senior management aren’t aware of some issues.
